Case Studies
These projects represent the kind of work I lead: cross-disciplinary, hands-on, and deeply structured. I shape the process as much as the outcome—guiding teams through complexity, aligning vision, and prototyping solutions built to scale.
In some cases, I contribute as a writer or director. In others, I help define the product itself. What they share is a mindset—exploratory, rigorous, and grounded in real-world impact.
You’ll find immersive prototypes, AI simulations, narrative frameworks, and R&D environments—each emerging from a process where creative structure meets collaborative inquiry.
Case Study 01: Command Center Prototype – Strategic Creative Direction for Aerospace R&D Environment
Role: Lead Writer & Creative Producer (under contract to a top-tier prototyping firm)
I was brought on to develop and script a series of near-future scenarios for a high-profile defense R&D environment. Collaborating closely with subject-matter experts, I crafted layered threat narratives and served as Creative Director for the speculative UI systems featured throughout the immersive demo space.
I also cast and directed the actors featured in the prototype, ensuring their performances supported the tone, pacing, and messaging of the immersive environment.
I provided strategic creative guidance on how the narrative structure could position the client as a thought leader—shaping the storytelling to highlight their adaptability, future-focused collaboration, and iterative innovation.
The prototype ran live for multiple years and became a cornerstone of the client’s innovation messaging—coinciding with the client’s successful bid for a multi-billion dollar defense contract.

Case Study 02: High Stakes Aerospace R&D Showcase -Immersive Prototype for Strategic Innovation & Flight Simulation
Role: Co-Founder & Lead Creative Producer (via Awesome Rocketship)
The following immersive prototype—built for a Top 3 aerospace firm—combined a cinematic VR narrative, voice-activated UI, and a real-time simulation of holographic flight avionics inside a proprietary haptic pod. As one of three co-founders, I played a key role in designing and building the pod itself, integrating 3DoF movement, air effects, and high frequency vibration to heighten realism.
As Lead Creative Producer, I guided the overall experience design and collaborated with the client on narrative framing. I conducted interviews with career fighter pilots and reviewed human factors research to understand how they process visual and spatial data at speed. That research directly informed the design of our volumetric data visualizations, shaping how the experience conveyed high-stakes information under cognitive load.
I also oversaw the scripting process, reviewed previs content, and ensured tight alignment between emotional arc and technical execution.
The prototype premiered at a national trade show and now resides permanently in the client’s advanced R&D lab—serving as a touchstone for their internal innovation strategy.
Client name withheld under NDA.
Case Study 03: Adaptive AI Simulation for a Fortune 10 Workforce Training initiative
Role: Sr. Solutions Lead at XR Training Company (Full-time)
I joined a fast-moving XR training company as a Sr. Solutions Lead just as a major Fortune 10 engagement was transitioning from pitch to implementation. The initial deliverable—built to rigid client specifications—fell short in terms of learner engagement and instructional impact.
In response, I pitched and led development of a more effective solution: an AI-powered, voice-driven call center simulation for mobile devices that trained new hires through dynamic, conversational role-play. We incorporated branching narrative logic and behavioral scoring models to improve realism, encourage critical thinking, and provide actionable performance feedback. The success of this prototype reestablished trust and demonstrated real learning outcomes. I subsequently extended this paradigm to six additional business units growing revenue from $800k to $2.4M in seven months.

Case Study 04: VR Shopping Experience for Theater Chain in Shanghai
Role: Executive Producer | Creative Director (via Storyworks360, executed by Ayzenberg)
Developed first-of-its-kind immersive VR Lounge and Shopping Experience for a leading Chinese theater chain where patrons could view 360 degree trailers for upcoming films and purchase tickets. Designed for use in theater lobbies, the experience combined intuitive user flow with interactive storytelling to drive engagement. Functional front end prototype delivered, approved by client, and went into development.
Case Study 05: From True Story to Global Release – Borderland for Lionsgate
Role: Co-Writer | Director | Creative Originator (via Storyworks360)
I was traveling across the country on a voyage of discovery with two friends when we stumbled across a true story so harrowing I couldn’t let it go: a young American kidnapped and murdered by a narco cult near the Texas–Mexico border. What started as personal fascination quickly turned into a creative mandate—to adapt the events into a feature that was both deeply cinematic and emotionally authentic.
I developed the project from the ground up, co-writing the script and securing financing for a $5M production shot on location in Mexico. Days before filming began, a major piece of our financing unexpectedly fell through. With crew on the ground and momentum building, I was faced with a hard choice: shut down and regroup—or push forward against the odds.
I rallied the team to push forward.
We found a way to close the gap, and kept the production on track. I directed the film for Lionsgate, working closely with cast and crew to build a world full of psychological tension and dread. We cast Sean Astin and Rider Strong in lead roles, shot on location for heightened realism, and completed the film on schedule.
Borderland premiered in U.S. theaters and was distributed worldwide, earning praise for its gritty, grounded style and provocative subject matter. The experience cemented my foundation as a narrative director and gave me firsthand insight into how creative vision, leadership, and pure determination can bring a story to life.
